In Italy the hemp growing areas are concentrated in Emilia, Polesine and Campania. This documentary depicts the complete cycle of cultivation. The various phases of the processing of the harvested fibre are illustrated, with particular attention to the drying, the washing, the "gramolatura" (separation of the fibre from the wood), up to the final phase of the factories.
