Frances Benjamin Johnston, 1922
A group of people is watching a gardener at work, growing hemp in an experimental garden project in Bryant Park, New York City. The text on the sign reads: ‘HEMP - The Fibre of this Plant is used for making Rope and its seeds for Stock Feed. It also makes a fine Foliage Plant for odd corners.’
